Sexypop is a group of Rock formed in 2000 with Angers (France).

History

The first concert of Sexypop takes place in 2001 in the Fédurok room of Chabada in Angers. The group has been formed only for five months. One already hears here and there of " freshness on scène" or of " revival rock'n'roll angevin". The trio made up of Pier, Sly and Francky, connects some dates with at once Ruda Salska. A first EP five titles, " Girls coils electric sheep" , recorded in Black box studio (Chokebore, Shellac, Sloy…), in November 2001 leaves on the Parisian label Buzz Off records. The group plays in all the France and already thinks of recording its first " vrai" album. Heading " Access to the second floor" , it will leave in February 2003 on the local label Edith Sample records. 2004 are the year of the FAIR (Fund of Assistance on the initiative Rock'n'roll). The support of the Ministère of the culture will make it possible the group to turn and compose the titles of the next disc. Direction Geneva and the studio of the Driving forces (Lofofora, Treponem Stake, Virago…) for a new album with its solid mass. " Strange days" , produced by David Weber, in March 2005 leaves on the label At (H) ome records. In same time Francky (low) the group leaves. It will be replaced by Olivier during one year then by Benji. The trio prepares a new production…
