Sextilis
Sextilis (August) was the sixth month of the Roman Calendrier. According to Suétone in 8 av. J. - C. the Roman Sénat “offered” Sextilis to Auguste because of the victories which it had gained in this month. Sextilis was henceforth called Augustus.
