Severo Ochoa

Severo Ochoa de Albornoz (born the September 24th 1905 in Luarca - died on November 1st 1993 with Madrid) was a Spanish scientist, prize winner of the Nobel Prize of physiology or medicine in 1959. It divided it with its pupil Arthur Kornberg, for their research on DNA.

Biography

August 1st Severo Ochoa became foreign member of the Royal Society the April 8th 1965

One of the principal hospitals of Madrid bears its name.
