Severine , born the October 10th 1948 with Paris, is the pseudonym of the French singer Josiane Grizeau .

Biography

The artist obtains the first success by recording the topic of the film the passenger of the rain . It gains the Concours Eurovision of the song for the Principality of Monaco in 1971 with the song a bench, a tree, a street . Severine records the English title and in German but it is the French version which will reach the ninth place of the hit parade to the the United Kingdom. In 1972, the singer occurs on the scene of the Olympia.

She makes then career in Germany where success continues until in 1981. But the artist continues to record and leaves its first CD to France in 1999. It occurs with the Cicada on November 18th 2000. Starting from 2002, Severine gives courses of song to Paris in a music school and in 2007, it makes an appearance at Pascal Sevran during his special program on Eurovision.
