On the Attique of each frontage, a broad inscription dédicatoire is engraved. Originally, the letters engraved in hollow received bronze letters now disappeared.
A Quadriga of bronze, led by the emperor and his two sons, crowned the arc in the beginning. A staircase gives access the higher platform.
The architectural type of this triumphal arch in particular inspired the design of the Arc of Constantin like that, with the whole beginning of the XIXe century, the Arc of the Carousel in Paris.
