The seventh district of North east one of the most disputed districts department of North. Indeed, since the recutting of 1988, this one rocked with each election until in 2007, which is explained by its cutting, including part of the town of Roubaix, firmly anchored on the left, but also its suburbs, more turned towards the line, and this with a National front with an elevated level on the level of the district. Thus, if the district passed from left to right then from right to left in 1993 and 1997 to the favor of triangular, the line does not owe its victory of 2002 that with an advance of 600 votes (either 1,6%), and its re-election in 2007 with less than 200 votes.
