The list of the seven wonders of nature exists in reference to the list of the seven wonders of the world. There does not exist any consensus in connection with such a list, the wonders of the natural world being particularly numerous. Currently UNESCO holds the Liste of the world heritage which includes/understands, at June 30th, 2007, 851 sites (660 known as cultural, 166 known as natural, and 25 known as mixed one), distributed in 184 States.

CNN proposed in 1997 list Ci below:

  • the Large Canyon, Arizona, the USA

  • the large coral barrier (Great Barrier Reef), Australia
  • the bay of Rio de Janeiro (Harbor off Rio de Janeiro), Brazil
  • the Mount Everest (Mount Everest), Nepal
  • northern lights (Northern Lights)
  • the volcano Paricutin (Paricutín volcano), Mexico
  • the falls Victoria (Victoria Falls), Zimbabwe
