Seurre
Seurre is a common French, located in the department of the Coast-with Or and the area Burgundy.
Geography
Located in the valley of the Saone , with the confluence of two arms of the navigable river, the small town is a crossing point of the river in the south of the department of the Gold Coast. To 40 km of Dijon and 22 of Beaune, Seurre is the chief town of a primarily agricultural canton: there ensures the transport of cereals of the sector by barge or train and remains a place of gravitational trade for the surrounding villages.
History
Town of origin of the family of Bossuet: the house became the tourist office of the small town which comprises also a church of the 14th century with a important chime and a hospital of the 17th century still under operation for the reception of the very old patients.
