The put color in computer graphics includes/understands several techniques:

Color application of a drawing the line

Receipt :

You take a black & white drawing (feather), you scannez it, 300 dpi preferably in order to keep a good smoothness of the feature. * You take a software (kind Photoshop or The GIMP) for the color application.
