Sesquiplane

Sesquiplane ( of sesqui: one and half ) is the adjective which indicates a Avion Biplan of which one of the wings is of a surface half of the other.

The planes Nieuport were a perfect example. The interest of the formula was to preserve aerodynamic qualities close to those of an ordinary biplane but with a less weight and a visibility increased downwards.
