Servoz is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Savoie and the area the Rhone-Alps.

Geography

a mining inheritance As of the 15th century, documents attest work of excavations led for ores Plomb ifères and Argent ifères in the whole of the valley of Chamonix. But it does not seem, in the state of current knowledge, that work had a real continuity in time.
Servoz is, at the 18th century, the seat of a mining company which exploited several seams of copper, lead and money.
Work of exploitation was located within a concession of more than 63 km ². Today, the vestiges of this industrial past form integral part of the archaeological inheritance industrial of Servoz and the High valley of the Arve.

throats of the Diosaz

Classified site, the throats of Diosaz are an excellent objective of walk accessible to all. These throats constitute one of most interesting curiosities of the valley of Chamonix. A maintained and easy path, solids galleries fixed on the wall and crossing the impetuous torrent make it possible to approach the cascades and to penetrate in the narrow crack of the mountain. (Opening from May to the beginning of October).
