Servicio de Inteligencia Nacional
The Servicio de Inteligencia Nacional (SIN) is the interior military intelligence service and outside of the Peru.
The SIN ensured in particular in collaboration with the intelligence services of the police force the information in the fight against the Marxist Guérilla of the luminous Sentier.
Until 1991, it was directed by the general Edwin Diaz. From 1991 to 1993 it is taken again in hand by the general Julio Salazar Monroe. Then in 1993 succeeds this last Vladimiro Ilyich Montesinos, to advise very near of the president Alberto Fujimori.
