It evolves/moves in Challenge League and is pulled by Jean-Michel Aeby.
Its president is Francisco Viñas.
History
Servette FC was founded on March 20th, 1890. He played in the mythical enclosure of the Hedges, located in a working district of the Ville of Geneva, during exactly a century: from 1902 to 2002. Then the club moved in new the Stade of Geneva, located on the commune of Lancy.
After having been at the edge of the bankruptcy in 2003, it was repurchased by Marc Roger which carried out many transfers, of which Christian Karembeu. In spite of that, the club knows in 2004 again financial problems and sporting what will have been worth to him to begin the season 2004-2005 with 3 points of delay following the non-observance of the payments of the league concerning the over-indebtedness.
The February 4th 2005, the judge pronounced the bankruptcy of Servette FC, relegating it leagues amateur of it (1 {{era}} Ligue).
Servette FC with the characteristic to be the only professional club having evolved/moved since its creation until its bankruptcy into 1 Swiss division (115 years).
It also has the 2nd best prize list of Switzerland.
The second team, then in 1 League, becomes the first team of Servette FC.
One year after having known relegation, Servette is crowned Swiss champion of 1 {{era}} Ligue on June 11th, 2006 and thus reaches the Challenge League for the first time of its history.
