Serious-Saint-Lover is a common French, located in the department of the Charente and the area Poitou-Charentes.
Geography
History
Serious-Saint-Lover is a very young commune. It exists officially since a17-12-1996 article of the official journal of January 23rd, 1997. The commune was born from fusion between Saint-Lover-of-Serious (of code INSEE 16297) and from Low registers (of code INSEE 16159). Saint-Lover-of-serious had beforehand absorbed Graves and the new commune preserved its code INSEE 16297 thus.

Places and monuments
The Low register borough shelters a parish church (church Saint Martin) built at the 12th century and 15th century. This church is classified historic building by decree of March 14th, 1986. The latter contains in particular a mural (principal colors red and yellow) dated roughly from the 15th century representing a biblical scene apparently (restored in 1977).
