Serio (department)

The Serio , in Italian Rubicone , was old a department of the République cisalpine, Italian République, then Royaume of Italy of 1797 to 1815. It was named according to the river Serio, and had for Chef-lieu Bergamo.

History

The department was drawn the July 9th 1797 during the creation of the republic cisalpine.
