Series of Paschen
In Physical, the series of Paschen (also called series of Ritz-Paschen ) indicates the series of transitions and the spectral lines corresponding from the Atome of Hydrogène when a electron passes from N ≥ 4 with N = 3, where N is the principal quantum Nombre of the electron. The transitions are indicated sequentially by a Greek letter: N = 4 with N = 3 is called Paschen-alpha, 5 to 3 Paschen-beta, 6 to 3 Paschen-gamma, etc
The series is named according to the physicist austro - German Friedrich Paschen which observed it for the first time in 1908.
