Série Club is a Television channel French set of themes specialized in the televised series.
History of the chain
Série Club is the first chain created on March 8th 1993 by the Groupe M6 which launches out then in television set of themes on a crenel that it can easily feed: series. The catalog of its head office is provided enough on the matter. The chain diffuses French and American series then Années 1960 and series already diffused on M6.In 1998, Série Club is entirely réhabillée and its programming becomes more set of themes, each evening being devoted to a kind of series: action, science fiction, paranormal… Wanting to compete with Channel Jimmy as regards innovating series, the chain is put at the subtitled VO and proposes series worships like Twin Peaks and of the new series.
The creation of TF6 in December 2000 by the Group M6 and the Groupe TF1 leads the latter to create a common company gathering TF6 and Série Club and whose two groups are shareholders with 50%. That makes it possible the two chains to benefit as regards series from the catalogs from their two head offices and to enrich their offer.
