Series 55 (SNCB)
The series 55 is a series of 42 Diesel loco ordered by SNCB at the beginning of the Années 1960. It forms, with the series 51, the second generation of motor coaches diesel of park SNCB (the first being consisted of the series 52, 53 and 54). In the old classification used by SNCB, series 55 corresponds to type 205.
The engines of series 55 were brought into service between 1961 and 1962 in one delivered dark Vert and Jaune.
Just like those of series 52 and 53, the motor coaches of series 55 are been driven by an engine designed by General Motors. However, they are provided with a case built by BN (and not by AFB).
