Sergio Citti (born with Fiumicino on May 30th, 1933, died with Ostie on October 11th, 2005) was an actor and realizer Italy N. He worked much with Pier Paolo Pasolini.

Biography

Born with the doors from Rome (Fiumicino shelters the international airport of the capital today), Citti knows very well the Roman dialect and any sound Argot. For this reason it starts to collaborate with Pasolini in the years 1950: this last having need for assistance with its very Roman novels, Ragazzi and a life forces . Citti becomes its " consulting in dialecte". Pasolini will call it its “walking encyclopedia”.

In 1959, Citti writes to the scenario of the film the Boys of Mauro Bolognini. He then works on all films known as Roman of Pasolini; he writes in particular, with the assistance of his brother Franco, the scenarios of first films of his friend, Accattone (1961) and Mamma Roma (1962).

(1967), and Salò, or 120 days of Sodome (1975), the last film of Pasolini, whose scenario is written by this last with Pupi Avati.

In 1970, always with the assistance of Pasolini, Citti makes its first film as a realizer: Ostia , in which one sees the topic of his poetry, the anti-hero of the Prolétariat, which characterizes many of its following films, of which Storie scellerate (1973), with the environment of Rome of Belli, and Casotto (1977), turned on the beach of Ostie and where play Ugo Tognazzi, Anna Melato, Mariangela Melato, Paolo Stoppa and Jodie Foster.

He also works for the SPOKE, for which he turns He minestrone (1979), with Roberto Benigni, his/her brother Franco and Giorgio Gaber, like Sogni E bisogni (1985).

Reached of a cardiac disease since long years, he dies with Ostie on October 11th, 2005 at the 72 years age.
