Sergio Assad born the December 26th 1952 with Mococa, is a Guitariste and type-setter Brésil IEN resulting from a family of origin Lebanon ease. The Sergio young person follows with his young brother Odair Assad the teaching of Monina Tavora, Argentinian guitarist, disciple of Andrés Segovia.

It is in Brazil, during their childhood, that the two brothers give their first concerts together initially exploring the traditional repertory for Duo of Guitare S. Sergio and Odair Assad, who add variations to the topics of Heitor Villa-Lobos, Marlos Nobre, also explore baroques compositions by interpreting works of Rameau, Scarlatti, Jean-Sebastien Bach, Couperin and Argentinian Astor Piazzolla.

In addition to new transcriptions and musical arrangements, Sergio Assad is the author of film musics which testify to its Latin-American roots while being let penetrate by influences of the old continent and Jazz.

The attractive personality of the Assad Brothers and their family causes the enthusiasm of the public. Thus in 2004 a dream is carried out: that to join together in concert the other talents which account the Assad family, their Badi sister, their Clarice children, Carolina and Rodrigo, but also their parents! The mandoline of the patriarch of the family Jorge Assad and the cordial voice of their mom Angelina Assad. The public saw with emotion this générationnelle and passion transmission.

In 2005 the Belgian television channel RTBF “Both” carried out documentary on the stay in Brussels of the Assad Family.
