Serge Rialuth Vohor is old a Prime Minister of the République of Vanuatu between the July 28th and the December 11th 2004.

Born in 1955, Vohor is member of the Union of the moderate parties, a French-speaking and preserving party.

At the time of the come to power of the UPM in December 1991, Vohor becomes Foreign Minister of the government of Maxime Carlot until in 1993. It is named Prime Minister of December 1995 at February 1996, then of September 1996 at March 1998.

The parliamentary elections of 1998 do not make it possible the UPM to form a coalition government but Vohor nevertheless returns to the government as a minsitre of the foreign affairs of 1999 until in 2001. The same scenario occurs at the time of the parliamentary elections of 2002, and Vohor takes again the wallet of Foreign Minister of the government of the Prime Minister Edward Natapei until in 2003.

The elections of 2004 are a reverse for the UPM which has nothing any more but 8 seats out of the 52 than account the Parliament. Nevertheless Vohor known to find alliances paying with deputies independent and members of other parties to form a government and to be named at the post of Prime Minister with 28 votes against 24 with its adversary Ham Lini.

The alliance which brought Vohor is quickly reversed after the Prime Minister unilaterally indicated that Vanuatu was going to recognize the existence of République of China. The Popular republic of China which provides an important financial aid is moved by this declaration. After having threatened to withdraw her assistance, the majority of the deputies reversed the Vohor government, bearing Ham Lini at the post of Prime Minister. Taiwan always denied to have promised an financial aid in the Vanuatu.
