Serge Robert , so known under the name of Mononc' Serge , is a singer Québécois working since the Années 1990. He was bass player of the group Colocs until in 1995. He then continued his career by singing in “the bars more the seedy characters” ( Pleasures of the Life ), then occupied a post office with the radio CIBL, with Montreal, which gave the album Mononc' sings '97 . Then, Mononc left four new albums solos, before producing the Academy of the massacre with the group of metal Anonymus, in 2004. In spite of the words of its songs which seem vulgar at first sight, Mononc' Serge is a very committed artist. Thus, employing very often the irony, he does not hesitate, in his works, with pourfendre the stupidity and the bad faith of the federalists. __TOC
History of the pseudonym
At the time of a round of Colocs, the group had stopped in a snack to eat. Whereas all the group had ordered fried potatos, Serge had ordered crushed potatos. One of the members of Colocs had then said " That fact of which Ben Mononc that! ". The term remained thus since then.

Anecdotes
Serge Robert already held with the Coffee Campus a titled show the International festival of the Serge, where one could return free if this first name were carried.
