Serge Ier of Moscow

Serge Ier (born Ivan Stragorodski , in Russian: СтрагородскийИоаннНиколаевич, the January 11th 1867 - died the May 15th 1944) was primacy of the Russian orthodoxe Église of 1927 with 1945, initially de facto like locum tenens between 1925 and 1943, then like Patriarche of Moscow and all Russia of the September 8th 1943 with its death. The word sergianism refers to the difficult tender of the patriarchate vis-a-vis the Soviet State.
