Serge Humpich

Serge Humpich (born with Mulhouse in 1963) was made famous while breaking the logical protection employed on the French bank cards. After having tried to negotiate its “know-how” at the GIE Bank cards, it was police custody and its material was seized. He was judged in 2000 guilty “of falsification of bank cards and fraudulent introduction into an automated system of treatment” - in spite of many supports towards his gesture, which put in obviousness technical faults and of design to be corrected in these bank cards. He was condemned to 10 months of suspended sentence and then desisted from the procedure of appeal which he itself had engaged.

He passed his scientific baccalaureat to Guebwiller before continuing his studies at the school of engineers INSA of Lyon. After having obtained its diploma for the occupation of electrical engineer it entered finances as a developer data processing specialist. During 12 years it conceived software of decision-making aid and treatment of the back office to manage the orders and the risks of the traders.
