Serekh is the Egyptian name which indicates the rectangular framework in which was registered oldest of the names of the Pharaonic titulature: the Name of Horus. Its origins go up with the protodynastic time and it will be used until the Ancient Empire. Thus, the names of the kings of the Dynastie 0 are registered in a serekh.
