White and rare type of vine entering the composition of the Madeira. It is also cultivated to a significant degree in the Dão. Although demanding as for its site and of a late ripening, it succeeds well in altitude. Its wine extrèmement astringent, requires an important ageing. It then acquires a dress and the savors very estimated for their subtlety.
