The Serb legislative elections of 2007 took place in Serbia the January 21st 2007.

Context

The elections aim at renewing the 250 seats of the Parlement monocaméral of Serbia. The preceding election was held in 2003 and then concerned the National Assembly of the République of Serbia inside the Serbia-and-Montenegro. The elections of 2007 are the first since the secession of the Montenegro and the independence of Serbia in 2006.

Any decision concerning the statute of the Kosovo was voluntarily moved beyond on January 21st, 2007 by the the United Nations.

Mode of election

The 250 representatives are elected for a 4 years legislature to the Vote for all direct; each declared party produces a single list candidates for all Serbia and receives a number of representatives proportional to the number of votes reached in all the country; however, are taken into account only the votes coming from the districts where it obtains at least 5% of the voices. This last condition is not however necessary for the parties being recorded like parties of ethnic minorities (lists 8,10,14,17,19 and 20 below) which need only 0,4% of the voices.

The political parties had until the January 5th 2007 to be recorded near the electoral commission. 20 political lists were recorded:
