the camp of Septfonds where some 16.000 Spanish republicans were interned as from February 1939. Later, the camp was also useful as retention center for the Jews raids during the summer 1942 before it gain Drancy then one of the death camps of Poland. if the traces of the camp were almost all disappeared, it remains, in Septfonds, a Spanish cemetery.
