1097 : At the time of the First crusade, Tancrède de Hauteville, dissatisfied with the plan adopted to go to Antioche, leaves Héraclée, accompanied by 100 knights and 200 pedestrians, and crosses the Portes cilicians, separating from the principal army to carry out its own forwarding in Cilicie.
- 1180 : Battle of Ishibashiyama to the Japan.
- 1226 : Nicolas de Corbie, recently named bishop of Avignon, carries the Blessed Sacrament to a vault built in the honor of the Holy Cross out the walls of the city (where is currently the Chapelle of Penitent the Gray), in a procession to which king Louis VIII assists, covered of a bag color of ground, girds of a cord, the naked head and a torch with the hand, follow-up of all its court and an innumerable crowd.
