The September 11th is the 254e Jour of the Année (255e in the event of Leap year) of the Gregorian Calendrier. There remain 111 days before the end of the year.

It is also the first day of the year of the Calendrier copte like Ethiopian Calendrier.

This day gave its name to the 11-September (with the the United States, 9/11 , nine eleven ), by reference to the Attentats of September 11th, 2001. The expression becomes in this case a proper name, with hyphen and capital letter at the second part of the name.

1 to 1900

•    284: Murder of the emperor Numérien, following what Dioclétien shown with the prefect of the court Arruis Aper drew some by charging this last and by stabbing it in front of the assistance and was proclaimed emperor by his soldiers of the army of Chalcédoine.
