Series of sentai

The series of sentai appeared on television Japanese in 1975. It was necessary despite everything a certain time to come to the scenario " classique".

The first series of sentai, " Himitsu Sentai Go Renjā", was created by deceased Shotarō Ishinomori, creator of " Kamen Rider" and " Cyborg 009" in 1975. It stopped creating series of sentai after its second attempt, " JAKQ Dengekitai" , which was not an enormous success.

The third series, " Batoru Fībā J" (1979), is the first officially announced like " Super Sentai" (because of being the first to have a giant robot because until there the five heroes had only simple vehicles).

Main features

The super sentai is a kind before any pretext with a great number of effects special and visual, simple but often astonishing, in particular thanks to a syncopated assembly and a sustained rhythm. The use of models and actors in costumes is current in this televisual kind, and these techniques were refined considerably with the wire of the decades, before seeing assistant the use of synthesized images in the most recent series. The costumes of the characters always profit from a very neat design and a realization.

The scenarios, traditional, put in scene five heroes (sometimes more, sometimes less) which are seen allotting special capacities (magic or technological), in order to fight against powerful beings come from another planets or other dimensions to invade the Earth. In the majority of the episodes, after having overcome an army of infantrymen and a monster, the heroes call vehicles or giant creatures which combine to form an immense robot thanks to which they face and embank an increased version of the monster.

With the passing of years, of the rules are added to the kind: arrival of one or more new hero during the series, new robots,… So certain rules are added, certain are forgotten then sometimes begun again, thus allowing a great diversity in spite of a basic idea remaining always the same one: the fight of the good against the evil. The superone is however far from being Manichean, and certain series are pretexts with development scenaristic complexes, which follow the evolution, even the total reversal, certain characters - keys.

Humor is also of the part, and it happens that the super-sentai car-parody, proving that it is about a kind which is not caught with serious and assumes its naivety completely as part of its charm.
