One calls sensory register , or “sensory memory” the structure which keeps during a very short amount of time (a few milliseconds) sensory information, i.e., the his S, the images, the odors, etc, which reaches us most of the time unconsciously.
The sensory recording is what puts to us in contact with the outside world. Indeed, at every moment we are exposed to a multitude of stimuli, of which for the majority we do not take conscience. However, even if it is necessary to pay our attention on these stimuli to seize the direction of them, that does not want to say that they are not recorded by our organization. On the contrary, all information which reaches our directions is recorded.
One counts the olfactive memory as being the best. Indeed, of the studies led to the report that an odor, although aware of this odor was not become, remains recorded for all or almost all its life.
