Senonches is a common French, located in the department of Eure-et-Loir and the area Center.
Its inhabitants is called the Senonchois (be) .
Geography
With its: 4287 hectares, the national forest of Senonches is largest of the department and one of most important of France. Its private part doubles at least this surface and is much richer vegetable in cash and shrubby in particular. It is, at the origin, a hêtraie with houx, treated in oak grove by the ONF, (in 2007: 18% of beeches according to the ONF, which would plan to decrease this rate.) The whole of the main forest is probably the remainder of the large forest of the
Carnutes: it touches almost with the close solid masses (Bellême, Montécôt, Châteauneuf-in-Thymerais, Ferté-Vidame, etc)
The country is also known for its sources and its tablecloth of subterranean water (under the forest) which feed part of the water distributed to Paris and is collected in Rueil Gadelière.
History

Tourism
Senonches is surrounded by vast a
national forest (one of largest of France), kingdom of the oaks and beeches, these trees remarkable are to be discovered with foot or bicycle, of which the " oak fauteuil" and " three frères".
On the road of Longny after the forest, the scrap-metal of the Pole was preserved here.
