Seniority

The seniority is, in Droit of the hereditary successions, a usual law applied by the majority of the Slavic dynasties of the Early middle ages, according to which the crown goes to the oldest member and/or most qualified of the reigning family.
The successor is usually designated the alive one of the king in exercise.
That gives gave place to bloody internal quarrels which decimated the Dynastie Piast and that of the Přemyslides and explains why it was usually replaced by the Primogéniture.
