A senior official is a Fonctionnaire of the Public administration, in load of important responsibilities (director of administration, chief of great service decentralized of the State…).
Sometimes one speaks about senior civil servant of the State to appoint the brilliant senior officials who make pass the interest of the nation before theirs.

The French senior officials are members of the French Public office, pertaining to bodies of category known as A+ . The majority are members of the Large body of the State.
