Semi-tendineux muscle

The semi-tendineux is a muscle pertaining to the posterior muscular group of the muscles of the thigh.

Description

  • Origine:
It shares insertion with the tendon of the long chief of the Muscle femoral biceps, with the posterior face of the ischiatic tuberosity.
  • Trajet:

the muscle is located in inside of the femoral biceps, but remains very surface. The fibers are vertical to the bottom
  • Terminaison:

Upper part of the face médiale of the tibia (muscle of the goose leg).
  • Innervation:

Branches of the ischiatic nerve.
  • Rôle:

Flexor of the leg on the thigh.
Rotatory internal.
Bungee cord of the hip.
