Self-help housing

The self-help housing is the name given to the action, for a private individual, to carry out a construction (for example its clean Maison, a Voilier, a wind …) without, or practically without, assistance of professionals.

The self-help housing of a house includes in particular the realization of the Carcass work heavy castings (Maçonnerie) and Charpente - cover but rather often excludes work from Terrassement.

The self-help housing also relates to achievements more modest than a house. But any project requiring several Trade association and a declaration of work can be led with the step of self-help housing of a house described here.

Many car-built houses tested or developed alternative techniques integrating for example integral recycling, the biodegrability, or of the structures very innovating, such as that of the House-bubble.
