Seldon plan
The Plane Seldon , created by Isaac Asimov in the Cycle of Foundation, corresponds to the project of the mathematician and sociologist Hari Seldon to reduce the era of chaos of thirty to an only one thousand of years between the fall of the first galactic empire and the appearance of the second.
It will be useful for that of its invention, the Psychohistoire. It thus will decide to create two foundations: the first, based on Terminus , must build the second empire gradually. While the second, “with the other end of the Galaxy”, consists of psychohistoriens and is charged to supervise the first to update the forecasts of Seldon and thus to allow the rebuilding of the empire. The Second Foundation is not on the other hand geographical first as one thinks it in the second volume but on the other hand social. First was placed in a weak zone at the time of Seldon whereas the second was placed on Trantor, zone of any power contrary to Terminus (First Foundation)
The Seldon Plan was the hope of the people of the First Foundation during this millenium. For the crisis periods (Seldon crises), the people clung on the forecasts of Seldon.
