Sekouba Diabaté known as Bambino is a Guinean Chanteur.

Biography

Sekouba Diabaté was born in 1964 in Kintinya close to Siguiri in High Guinea to parents griots. His/her mother, Mariama Samoura, are a singer made famous for a title which his/her son will take again later: Apollo. Although his/her father opposes so that the Sékouba young person becomes him even singer, it is pointed out in several local orchestras of Siguiri and receives, in 1979, the price of the best singer of Guinea. It joined the national orchestra then Bembeya Jazz with the request express of Guinean president Sekou Touré. It is there that it acquires its nickname Bambino not to confuse it with its homonym, guitarist virtuoso of this orchestra.

Simultaneously with a career solo, it joined, like guest then like permanent, the " group; salsafricain" Africando. Already present in " Gombo Salsa" , he sings " Sonfo" , which calls the men with " to be with the hauteur" , to show of wisdom, attention, reciprocal listening.

With its Sinikan album, where it mobilizes arrangements of François Bréant who had intervened on the album " Soro" of Salif Keita, it is made known by many people like one of the best representatives of the contemporary music mandingue. Its lyric tenor voice is close to that of Kouyaté Sory Kandia, other celebrates Guinean singer who contributed to reveal the music mandingue.
