Term of Italian origin which means " suis" , and which decides " -goué". One employs it on the partitions, to indicate that one must connect the following piece without stopping. With the illustrated direction, in the speech, one can express art thus to make transitions from a subject to another. It is also similar to the dissolve-connected with the cinema. The term attacca is synonymous with segue

The segue is also used in modern music, in various forms.
- to mark a continuity rather than a cut between two Chanson S. For example in the album the wire of Camille, the note if form a segue, a bond between the songs (from where the name of the album).
- In musical improvisation the segue is an air of filling between two pieces, it is also the case in the long song of Genesis entitled Supper' S Ready .
- Lastly, the segue can be a direct sequence, as between the songs Sgt. Pepper' S Lonely Hearts Club Band and With has Little Help from My Friends , in the album Sgt. Pepper' S of the Beatles
