Henri Tudor (January 28th 1457 - April 21st 1509), was Count de Richmond (1456-1461), then King d' Angleterre starting from 1485 under the name of Henri VII , first sovereign of the Tudor dynasty.

It is born with the Château from Pembroke, with the Wales, wire posthumous of Edmond Tudor, Count de Richmond, half-brother of the king Henri VI, and of Margaret Beaufort, downward of Jean of Ghent, wire of Edouard III of England.

Henri becomes king in 1485, after having beaten the king Richard III, which is killed in Bosworth, the August 22nd, 1485. He marries Elisabeth of York (1466-1503), girl of the king Edouard IV, thus unifying the houses of Lancaster and York. They have seven children but only four will survive:

  • Arthur (1486-1502) prince de Galles, who marries in 1501 Catherine d' Aragon (1485-1536) girl of Ferdinand II of Aragon,
  • Marguerite (1489-1541), which marries Jacques IV of Scotland, then remarie with Archibald Douglas, and then in Henri Stewart. The first marriage, with the king of Scotland, marks the beginning of the process of union of the two kingdoms, which was completed in 1707.
  • Marie (1496-1533), which marries in 1514 Louis XII, king de France, then remarie with Charles Brandon, Duc of Suffolk. She is the grandmother of Jeanne Grey,
  • Henri VIII which will have six wives.

After the death of the oldest son, Arthur, in 1502, Henri obtains exemption of the pope Jules II, so that the Catherine widow can marry with the son junior, Henri. The marriage took place only after the death of Henri VII.
