Sega Model 1

The Sega Model 1 is a system of arcade introduced by Sega in 1992. During the development of this system, Sega met General Electric Aerospace (which was integrated in Martin Marietta, and in Lockheed Martin) to be later made help in the creation of the graphics processor managing the 3D. General Electric Aerospace had in the Années 1960 manufactured the very first simulators in 3D for NASA. The first play on this system, Virtua Racing was conceived to test the viability of this platform of play and forever envisaged to be sold, but in-house success was such as Sega decided despite everything to present it to the public.

However, because of the exorbitant cost of this system, only 6 plays were produced; among them famous the Play of combat Virtua Fighter. Model 1 was thus primarily before taste of what Sega Model 2 was going to be the , one of the most popular systems of arcade ever conceived.
