Seed-planting drill and low

The drill' low is not a kind of Electronic music which emerged from the scene drum' low in the middle of the Années 1990. Artists such as Luke Vibert, Squarepusher, and more known, Aphex Twin created this kind in 1995.

The sound drill' low is not characterized by the extremely complex and precise programming of a Boîte at rates/rhythms, often based on the Sample of the famous station-wagon “Amen”. The level of complexity reached and the attention given to the details with measurement close established a distance between the drill' low and the mentality turned towards the dancefloor which one low finds in the drum' beginnings.

In 1998 and 1999, Aphex Twin leaves its individual Like to Daddy and Windowlicker , both in the style drill' low, which meets a business success of world scale. Since 1999, the popularity of the kind however declined: new artists producing a low complex drum', such as Venetian Snares, Line 47 or Doormouse, recognized themselves under the term of Breakcore.
