Seebach

Seebach is a common French, located in the department of the the Low-Rhine and the area Alsace. The commune was called Oberseebach until its fusion, in November 1974 with the village of Niederseebach.

Geography

The commune of Seebach is located near Wissembourg from which it is distant from 9 km. The village is served in the west by the secondary road n° 249 which is connected on the RD 263 connecting Haguenau to Wissembourg. Towards the North-East, this same road leads towards the hamlet of Frohnackerhof then Schleithal. The RD 34, the east, makes it possible to reach Trimbach. Finally the RD 645 connects the two principal parts of the commune which are Niederseebach and Oberseebach along the Seebach river from where the common car its name. The stop of Hunspach on the line FOR THE THIRD TIME Strasbourg-Haguenau-Wissembourg is with less than 3 km.

The village falls under a landscape of agricultural hills whose tops border the 180 m of altitude and a bottom of valley with 140 Mr. 3 cours d' water drain the commune: Hausauerbach in the west, Seebach in the center of the round of applause and Muelhbach in the east.

Village celebrates

Every year, Seebach organizes a country festival, the Streisselhochzeit . It sagit of a festival or several typical marriages country are organized. Hochzeit wants to say marriage and Streissel is the traditional bouquet which the bride carries this day.
