Sed (there) , or more usually Sed , (litt. That with the tail ), is a very former Egyptian god, city in certain verses of the Textes of the Pyramids.
{Sed} is probably the first name of the god pseudo jackal Oupouaout, Oup-ouaout (litt. That which opens the ways ) indicating its principal epithet d'" éclaireur" processions of divine signs at the time of the ritual processions.
Its name refers to the use of the tail of the pseudos jackals in the hunting gear at the times prehistoric and predynastic, as show it certain representations (see votive the pallet known as " chasse").
It undoubtedly gave its name to the ritual jubilaire of the Festival-Sed, in which the ensign of the god plays a part of accompanying divine of the principal royal actions.
The Festival-Sed would be itself in the beginning a hunting of intended ritual qualification, with prehistory, to appoint the new chief of the tribe, at one time when the concept of being able was closely related on the function hunting and thus to the feeder power of the chief.
