Securitarism
The securitarism or sedentary spirit is a term generally used in a pejorative way to indicate the tendency of a company or a capacity to give an excessive priority to the material Sécurité of whole or part of a country or a social group, often with the contempt of the individual freedoms.
In the most extreme cases, the securitarism can lead to the Dictature when the fight against a real or fantasmée insecurity is instrumentalisée by the capacity to justify the installation of a particularly repressive mode.
The securitarism is characterized by the increase and the centralization of the repressive instruments (police force, Armée, Prison S…) with the detriment of preventive instruments, like by an increased influence of the executive power on the legal one and the legislature.
Following made an attempt of September 11th, 2001, the majority of the states which have the means of them obtained an increasingly sedentary policy, based on the use of technologies of control (vidéosurveillance, biometrics, listening of the networks,…)
