Secure File Transfer Protocol

Secure File Transfer Protocol ( protected protocol of transfer of file) is an alternative of the protocol ftp which tunnelise the session through a connection Secure Shell to make safe it.

As ftp uses connections multiple TCP (what is an exception in the list of the protocols TCP/IP), it is particularly difficult to carry out this tunneling .

The name of Secure ftp should not be confused with d´autres methods of security of ftp, such as for example FTPS.
