Secure DIGITAL Music Initiative (SDMI) is a fine consortium formed 1998, consisted of more than 200 companies (in the fields of the computer security, information technology, and of the recording companies) intended to develop a security system in order to protect the reading, storage, and the distribution of numerical works of music, like MP3.
