Section straightforwardly anti Le Pen

The Section straightforwardly anti Le Pen ( SCALP ) is a group Antifasciste and Libertaire, appeared in 1984 with Toulouse and resulting from the autonomous mobility.

Origin

Conceived at the beginning to be transitory initials, the " Société" Against the Friends of Le Pen (in Toulouse), the media success of the manifestation of June 6th, 1984 created a legend at the origin of the creation of many groups in various towns of France taking again the acronym. This SCALP first manner, which developed at the same time as the music rock'n'roll alternative, was going to die out at the same time as it, with orée of the Eighties. The attempt at federation of the various groups within a CNAF (Fascistic Anti National coordination) never functioned really, the Parisian group ending up exploding in 1990.

History

After one or two years of sleep, the elements of the SCALP Paris first manner which animated in parallel the review REFLEXes (for the majority of former students which had known each other with the faculty of Nanterre) gave again life with the SCALP, by using the initials and its will have to try to attract young people in evil of radical fights. In same time, the SCALP news manner moved away from mobility Autonome (elements of the old SCALP close relations of this mobility being invested in other structures or projects such as Karoshi or CNT-AIT) to approach the traditional organizations Libertaires. A certain number was going later to join CNT Vignoles, or to maintain the important bonds of proximity.

In 1992, the new SCALP was organized in a domestic network: the Network No Pasaran, which federates the various local groups of the SCALP. The Parisian group is known under the name of SCALP-REFLEX (Course d' studies on Fascism and fight against the extreme line and xenophobia). The radicality of members of this network at the time of actions could bring the degradation of establishments or urban furniture.

In 2004, individuals leave group SCALP/REFLEX to found later the group OLS (Offensive libertarian and social).

In 2006, in the anti-CPE movement, the members of the Scalp-Reflex camera took part in the general meetings in the universities and in the demonstrations. They were present at the time of the occupation of EHESS. The militants of the Scalp-Reflex camera clashed with the militants of Extrême right-hand side at the time of the attack by the latter of the night demonstration in front of the Sorbonne, Tuesday March 14th 2006.

In 2007, for the presidential campaign, the Scalp-Reflex camera initiated the candidature “Potato”.

The May 9th 2007, the SCALP/REFLEX invited - with other organizations of libertarian mobility and coed (Al, CUS, CNT Vignoles) - with a radical counter-demonstration to be opposed physically to a manifestation of the extreme right-hand side and “to show them which holds the street”. By fear of the police repression, put aside the SCALP, the organizers of the counter-demonstration antifascist preferred l´annuler, but without warning anybody. When the demonstrators come with l´appel from the organizers presented themselves to go, they did everything stopped. It is thus more than 200 names which came to enlarge the files of the police headquarter. It would seem that certain people present this day keep a certain resentment towards the organizers.

Manpower

If manpower are today between 400 and 500, more than 6000 people would have passed in the movement since its foundation.

The pornographic film actress Ovidie belonged to the SCALP as Florent Grospart who will become mayor-assistant Vert of Vendôme and leader of Attac.

Publications

The network No Pasaran published many works on the Extrême right-hand side of which GUD, autopsy of a dying man , Bêtes and Méchants, little story of the young French fascists and Rock Roll Hatred, origins, stories and actors of the identity Rock French, an attempt to counter the culture of extreme right-hand side .

The network also leaves a review entitled No Pasaran every month, available in the militant places and of many bookstores.

In 2005, the SCALP left a book: Like a Metropolitan Indian , on the history of the movement of 1984 with 1992.
