Section of the Invalids

The Section of the Invalids was represented with the Commune of Paris by:

  • EP Waistcoat-Marie (1753-1794), paver, guillotine on Thermidor 12 year (July 30th, 1794),
  • Charles Leleu 1750-1794), wig maker, guillotine on Thermidor 12 year (July 30th, 1794),
  • Tessier.

No name change for this section.

Territory: the 7th district almost in entirety and part of 15th.

Population: 10.400 inhabitants, including 770 workmen and 1660 lower-income group.

This section remained faithful to the national Convention on Thermidor 9 year (July 27th, 1794) except two of its representatives who lent oath to the Commune of Paris, it acts of EP Waistcoat-Marie and Charles Leleu who were guillotines on Thermidor 12 year (July 30th, 1794.
